WHAT WE DO

Clacton School Uniform Bank (CSUB) offer pre-loved and new school clothing and other related items

FREE OF CHARGE!!!

All are welcome to use this service.

OUR AIM

With a school uniform, children will feel included in the school community,

which can reduce bullying and isolation.

It allows families to redirect money to the essentials of heating and food. Recycling also reduces landfill waste.

WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED

2025 - Amazing year!!

Love Essex grant awarded to pay for storage.

Essex community foundation grant awarded to pay for the rent and utilities to set up a shop.

we secured a lease on a small shop.

Trades people and local businesses rallied round to support with the shop refurbishment.

We have great engagement with local schools.

Built closer links with CVST supporting us to find further funding.

10th August 2025 we opened our shop doors to the public,

this has allowed us to now open 16 hours a week.

Building links, Supporting our local children, parents & carers.

Over 13,800 items of uniform have found new homes.

HOW WE DO IT.....

PRE-LOVED UNIFORMS

Please consider donating any school uniform, or other school related items that your child may have outgrown or your child may have moved school.

Even un usable items are given to St Helena’s Hospice for rags or converted to hair accessories by our volunteers.

Asda & Morrison's community champions, collect donated uniform from the public at the Clacton branches on our behalf. We have some new items of uniform donated by Tesco, Asda & Morrison's community champion, also local people and companies have purchased new items and donated to us.

LOCAL BUSINESS

Not only with monetary support, but with their time and skills refurbishing and maintaining our premises,

together with subsidised costs for purchases.

Cash donations are always very welcome. You can donate in person at the shop or by bank transfer.

Any amount from a few pence will be gratefully received.
